Grafton Cephas Isaac
Former Attorney General, St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Grafton Cephas Isaac was a politician, parliamentarian and Former Attorney General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Career
Isaac had a lifetime career in law and politics. In 1974, Isaacs was elected as a Member of the House of Assembly for the South Leeward on the St. Vincent Labour Party (SVLP) ticket. He was a member of the first parliament of the independent St. Vincent and the Grenadines on 27 October 1979 and served as Attorney General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines from 1982-1984 under the Milton Cato Administration. Isaacs served in parliament for 10 years, demitting office in 1984.
Personal life
Isaac was married to Cecily and the father of Yolande, Joann, Renee, Rosella and Carson. The brother of Thelma, Olive, Luvesta, Adolphus and Leroy. The grandfather of Bernie, Jenise, Malik, Nathan, Micah, Jalyn, and Maiah.
Death
Grafton Isaac died on Saturday, 28 November 2015 at his home in Upper Villa, St. Vincent. He was 87 years old. He was accorded a State funeral on Tuesday, 15 December 2015 at the Kingstown Methodist Church.
