Party for Democracy and Development through Unity (DOE) |
Democracy and Development in Unity (Democratie en Ontwikkeling in Eenheid, DOE) is a non-ethnic reformist political party in Suriname.
The party was founded in 2 December 1999. Their leader Carl Breeveld, has been a member since 2010.
Since its foundation, the party has always refused to enter any political coalition. At the 2010 legislative elections, the party won 12.095 votes (5%) and one seat in the National Assembly.
The DOE currently holds one seat in the DNA.
