Opposition Member of Parliament of St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Major St. Clair Leacock is a politician from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and is currently an opposition member in the House of Assembly.
Early life and education
Major Leacock has a background in Law, Accounts, Management Studies, and Business. He specialized in the field of Management, achieving his first degree in Management Studies as well as a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the West Indies. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute of the UK.
Career
Major Leacock is a Justice of the Peace, a main contributor to the development of the St. Vincent Coast Guard Service, President of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Football Association and Commandant of the Cadet Force and Auxiliary Police Force.
A former Opposition Senator, Leacock won the Central Kingstown seat for the New Democratic Party in 2010 and again in 2015.
Personal life
Major Leacock is married with children.
He has won several awards based on his meritorious service and contribution to the development of the Football Association, Cadet Service, and President of the Employer’s Federation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
